Whisper Quiet

Whisper Quiet

Nextac functions quietly, thanks to its low noise level attributed to the BLDC twin rotary variable-speed inverter compressor, ECM centrifugal and tangential fan, and an innovative barrier. This patented barrier serves a dual purpose by insulating against heat loss and effectively blocking sound, creating a comprehensive sound-insulated separation between the indoor and outdoor components. As a result, the barrier prevents exterior and condenser noise from entering indoor spaces, ensuring an operational decibel level as low as 27 dBA.
Integrated ERV

Integrated ERV

Nextac’s advanced make-up air system introduces up to 75 CFM (fully programmable) of outside air while incorporating a sophisticated Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) that recuperates 80% of the heat from the exhausted air. This reclaimed heat is then transferred to the incoming cold, fresh air with the remaining 20% efficiently heated by the heat pump. Compared to a PTAC/VTAC with electric heat, this advanced system boasts a remarkable 95% reduction in power consumption. Moreover, Nextac’s Recovery+™ utilizes the residual heat or cold present in the air post-recovery to adjust the temperature of the condenser, boosting the performance and efficiency.
Programmable and Reliable Make-up Air

Programmable and Reliable Make-up Air

Two independent, electronically controlledvariable-speed, high-efficiency fans manage the supply of outside air and exhaust of stale air.The advanced control system offers users comprehensive programmability to regulate the volume of outside air in specific scenarios, even when the heat pump is inactive. For example, users have the flexibility to configure settings such as 15 CFM when the room is unoccupied, 50 CFM when occupied with poor CO2 levels, and 25 CFM when occupied with lower CO2 levels. This programmable flexibility ensures precise control and heightened efficiency.Additionally, each ECM fan can be individually programmed with varying speeds, proving advantageous in situations where other fans are extracting air from the room. Adjusting the supply fan for increased airflow while dialing back the exhaust fan allows for balanced air circulation, maintaining optimal make-up air flow.

Super Powerful, Yet Quiet Fans

Super Powerful, Yet Quiet Fans

Nextac incorporate a patent-pending centrifugal backward-curved fan blade design, engineered to efficiently move the maximum amount of air with minimal effort. This results in reduced power consumption, enhanced capacity, and improved efficiency. Furthermore, the fan is powered by an electronically controlled motor, enabling precise modulation of the fan speed to align exactly with the requirements of the heat pump’s output.
Safe, Clean, Healthy Air

Safe, Clean, Healthy Air

Nextac includes high-performance ECM fans that facilitate the use of MERV 13 filters in various airflows, including make-up air, fresh air intake, stale air exhaust, and recirculated air. This ensures the highest standard of clean air. The filters are easily accessible for both indoor and outdoor air, providing exceptional protection against pet dander, mold spores, car fumes, smoke, bacteria, and other micro-allergens.
Self-Cleaning Coils

Self-Cleaning Coils

Dirty coils make the heat pump work inefficiently and can increase operating costs by 25% or more. Even regular, annual cleaning of coils will have the coils return to an inefficient state relatively quickly.Nextac’s patent-pending self-cleaning coil system has advanced sensors on the coils which trigger an automatic cleaning. The self-cleaning is achieved by defrosting, frosting, and cold expansion of the coils, which strip off the accumulated dirt. Cleaning can be set in advance to occur only during certain times and will not happen if the motion sensor detects occupancy.
No Drain Required

No Drain Required

Nextac’s patent-pending condensate disbursement system efficiently manages melt-water without the need for a drain, making installation simpler and reducing maintenance needs. In cooling mode, Nextac quietly pumps condensate to the top of the outdoor coil, where it’s drizzled over the condenser coils, cooling them slightly as it evaporates. In heating mode, the system uses a vibration pump to nebulize water into a fine mist that’s dispersed outside. This method is energy-efficient, requiring only 30 watts compared to the 1 kilowatt traditional systems use, saving both power and operational costs.
Easy To Access Outside Air Filters

Easy To Access Outside Air Filters

Nextac’s easy-access filters are designed for convenience, allowing a single person to change them without removing the unit from the sleeve, unlike traditional PTACs. This setup encourages more frequent filter changes, resulting in cleaner air and a more efficient system overall. For monthly maintenance, the MERV 13 fresh and stale air filters can be cleaned without removing the cover. For annual cleaning, simply remove the cover to slide out the ERV core cartridge for easy cleaning or replacement, enhancing performance and air quality year-round
Integrated Bathroom Exhaust

Integrated Bathroom Exhaust

To achieve optimal efficiency, well-balanced air circulation, reduced construction costs, and a streamlined building facade, it is recommended to connect the bathroom exhaust fan to the stale air exhaust of the Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV). This connection not only enables the total recovery of heat from the bathroom and maintains balanced airflow but also contributes to a reduction in the number of external vents on the building facade.
AirSync®

AirSync®

AirSync®, a pioneering patent-pending solution, ensures optimal air balance by seamlessly synchronizing the bathroom exhaust fan with both the ERV fresh air supply fan and the stale air exhaust fan.Upon the activation of the bathroom fan, a signal is transmitted to the ERV fresh air supply fan, directing it to increase its speed to align with that of the bathroom fan. Simultaneously, the signal instructs the stale air exhaust fan to reduce its speed, ensuring that the total air intake matches the total air outflow, including that from the bathroom fan. Subsequently, when the bathroom fan is deactivated—either by the occupant, motion sensor, or humidity sensor—the signal prompts both the ERV outside air supply fan and the stale air exhaust fan to return to their normal speeds. This seamless coordination enhances overall air circulation and efficiency within the system.
